I've always been a heavy Yokohama fan, and since I get tyres quite cheap, I tend to stick with yoko. But, my new daily was in need of tyres, and I opted for something cheap, and grippy. And figured it was worth giving the Rs4's a crack. Now, they are directional, so there is some reasonable water dispersion. But as with any semi slick, they need heat. So, water performance is lacking. Though, I've yet to have any issues in the wet. I've also yet to hit the major rains of WA with them. But, if a052's handle torrential rain just fine on daily drives, I'm sure these will too.Little bit noisy, but that's to be expected.Being directional, rotating them is a downside. Can only go front to back, unless you're willing to have the tread backwards, and risk it being a huge danger if spontaneous rain hits. Or you're willing to swap them back around at a spontaneous rain.I haven't hit the track with them yet, but it's on the cards. I've got a few friends with the same size who have had good reports. So, I'm interested to see how they go. It is only the stock daily, so it won't be anything major. Just some stock no mod worries seat time.Price wise, absolutely incredible price point. Stock here in WA is harder to get. Often have to ship them from over east, and occasionally there's a freight charge involved, depending on how many you get, and how suppliers are feeling/ their stock transfers are going.Absolutely worth the money, if you want a cheap track tyre that goes a little further, and handles daily duties. Also a good entry point tyre for track stuff. Not as good road manners as the others, but when you've got a modified car, that's not going to be noticed too much

The tyres were fitted by a Tyre store one which I have been patronising for all my vehicles and recommended numerous businesses associates. Within 1 month the tyres became incredibly noisy and after 4 months began scalloping. Being a directional tyre the issue compounded as the rear tyres were worse. The vehicle was checked over and suspension cleared leaving the issue of a fault with the tyres. Hankook rep covering the Newcastle area was given the situation and point blank refused to accept responsibility, contact or compromise, resulting in the loss of repeat business for both Tyre store and Hankook. Sure makes a set of faulty tyres extremely expensive.

Mainly got these tyres for track use and my suspension and alignment is also set up for track. Took a while to get pressures right but very happy with performance for the price. Warm up pretty quick and can push close to the limit with confidence. Grip in damp conditions is also excellent but have not been game to try higher speeds in heavy rain. Noise and comfort where better than expected but my car is already pretty harsh and noisy. Don't know about wear yet but the are rated at 200 so should be ok for a a few thousand hard kms.

One of the cheapest semi-slicks in the market. So far I did two track days with this set of tyres. Lap time at Hidden Valley Raceway is 2 seconds faster compared to Michelin PS4s. After 7000km of mad driving, the front tyres are gone. Which is pretty impressive for this type of tyre. Overall, great tyre for both track day and daily drive.

Great value semi slick road tyre took over the scene previously occupied by Kumho Kumho KU36 Dry drip is great if not phenomenal Wet grip is good consider the Grove design An improvement steering responsiveness than RS3 but not as good KU36 Very temperature / pressure sensitive means a lot visit to petrol station adjusting tyre pressure and a narrow pressure operation range it can easily cook when the pressure is not right on track.

I've been using the Ventus RS-4 on my modified GC8 WRX for 18 months now and they've been excellent. They have been used for daily driving and several track days at Baskerville raceway. Dry grip is excellent, however they do need some temperature in them to get them working (usually a couple of laps at a track day), this isn't an issue for spirited street driving though. Grip is progressive at the limit, offering good feel and traction over the course if a ten lap session. They do fall off a cliff in terms of performance after 10 laps, but this has never been an issue on the street and once left to cool they're consistent session after session. Wet weather performance is also exceptional, with good grip and traction even on a car with stiff coil-overs and big sway bars. They do have a decent amount of road noise, but this is a load car so it's not an issue for me. I have previously had Bridgestone RE003's on the car and compared to those the Hankook's have more dry grip once warm (the RE003's work better from dead cold), slightly less grip in heavy rain and higher road noise than the Bridgestone. Value for money is great for a cheap street and track day friendly semi-slick. I've currently done around 12,000km on these tyres and have plenty of tread depth left. I would buy again, however I will probably look at a stickier tyre like an AD08R next time.

COLD wet weather performance quite bad, quite loud overall but super grippy once warmed up reaching a 1:10 at wakefield with more room for improvement. Tread pattern design is average but for the cost of these tyres I really can’t complain. Interested in trying a similar spec tyre in another brand !

300whp/740Nm FWD GTI Fantastic grip! I get amazing traction from a dig, and turn in response is great thanks to the stiff sidewall. Dry performance is 10/10 and wet performance is very good! Have lasted longer than I expected and warm up rather quickly for a semi-slick. Great for a performance daily.

Great tyres. Impossible to overheat them on the track. Awesome wet and dry performance. Almost limitless grip. Very communicative though the pedals and steering wheel. Wearing out slower than expected.
